Women Owned Statement Jewelry: Mikara Reid's Standout Selections

And with a few requests from our community and Mikara's onlookers, she curated a list of 5 black owned handbag brands that represents many sides of a woman. Well alright, we are back. How y'all beautiful people doing? I'm having so much fun curating these lists. So we will be getting into women's owned fashion brands statement jewelry to stand out in. Now this is my type of party. I love statement jewelry. I love costume jewelry. That is something that I wear pretty much

every day. So this I had a lot of fun and let's get right to the first one. So the first one is the brand called Tawapa. I've actually used this brand for a few photo shoots as well as

um one of my clients really loved the this choker so it's the coil necklace even though it's titled necklace it's really a choker it's very close up as you can see in this picture but it is beautifully made it definitely has some weight on it so if you're looking for something that's lightweight this beauty is not is it's not it's not light

I love all her jewelry this can be a lot for some depending on what type of girl you are your style preference but this brand is called the Dylan Lex and the product that I am putting on this list to stand out is the Drew 2 necklace.

I'm gonna say majority of her jewelry resemble, I'm not gonna say resemble, but they have this aesthetic where it's stackable. Before the stackable necklace was a thing, she had this in the bag. A lot of celebrities have worn this type of necklace. You may have seen Rihanna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, I think Khloe Kardashian, but

She, yeah, these celebrities definitely have worn this necklace as like that trend was emerging. So grounded in our signature electric layered details and complete with a silver, with a sleek silver coating and tonal stones. There's drew to is the ultimate statement.

So let's get into the details of I want to see if they have how long okay so it says approximately 10 inches from shoulder to bottom edge and then three inch extension chain doesn't that is not really like fully descriptive on how long but as you can see in the pictures because one of them is I want to say both of them is the actual owner

But um yeah this is like a good type of piece if you just want to put on a white tank top and you just want to do minimal dressing and just throw on a necklace. I want to say this will probably be like a great go-to type of necklace.

necklace and keep the bag real cute and mute or if you want to kind of just jazz it up you can also just add a couple of silver bangles or a watch or whatever the case may be but I really love this type of aesthetic and as it says in the description and before I even write the description

I have met her during Los Angeles fashion week I want to say a while ago because I have her car I still carry business cards but um yeah I have her business card and again I like to just put it in an excel sheet to keep organization and just kind of go back to designers since that's what stylists do

So this statement piece and this designer, this woman owned fashion brand is Nick Spruill. This gorgeous liquid asymmetrical bangle bracelet. I love, I love, I love. If you are someone who just can't really decide if you want to wear silver, if you want to wear gold, if you don't want to wear it,

throw this clear piece on. This will make a statement without you having to just strain your mind or waste a lot of time on what you want to wear.

And this ring is called the Cubago. Sorry if I'm mispronouncing it, but this can be a nice little statement because the way this model is simply posing, the ring is the it factor. Okay. I know she has no earrings. I know she has no necklace on. She does have a bangle, but

The ring is really popping and if you look to see it stand alone, just look how beautifully unique this is. I say, you know what, I'm going to add this to the statement because it can be a statement if you're a girl who just wants to put one ring on and then allow the ring to do for itself.

I said, you know what, I'm going to just add it. This is a silver plated type of brass and the weight is 8.65 grams. The size is 0.98 by 1.1 inches. It is handcrafted which is phenomenal.

and there's not much description on it but it's okay but we have the pictures the pictures are good enough i feel like this is definitely a statement um in itself it can be very minimalistic for

some of you but you know what compared if you watch the other video the ring that i did select was very minimalistic small and petite and something that you can wear every day with this this type of ring depending on what type of industry you're in and normally you know my type of clientele they wear they work

you know, professional jobs, this type of ring or like a cocktail type of ring will not be would not be acceptable. So that is honestly why I put it in this statement type of category. So you guys let me know if you are feeling this or not.

This is the brand Regina Khan. This earring really captured my attention. It is called Aliens. I don't know why it's called Aliens, but it is so beautiful. The colors are so striking. And you know another reason why it grabbed my attention because the model, I actually did a photo shoot with her. She was one of my models and clients. So I'm like, oh, look at this girl.

Don't remember her name because I used to do, you know, I used to do a lot of Model development styling for model agencies and models just used to ask me to style them for different events because I was in the New York, New Jersey area, so faces, I definitely do not forget unless I do not like you but um, I

like oh I know this model I know her but these earrings are gorgeous and y'all see this video how it's just it just looks so good this it has so let's briefly read the description so it says silk petals and semi-precious gems whirling stems I love this so much and it's also just three inches long

I'm like, is that big enough for me? But when you look at the pictures on the actual model, it is, I think it's enough for me. Like it's truly enough for you to stand out and just wear a gorgeous, just a little black dress. I think wearing black will allow the colors to just really just exude and just flourish.
