So the girl is wanting to know what are some going out dresses that are black owns.

You know, your girl may macaw read, I definitely get into specializing in black

own stuff because if you have worked in many different sectors of styling,

specifically if you are assisting with like entertainment or being a styling assistant

for celebrities and you know, just little special projects they will have

requests for this. They will say, you know, I want to have black owned brands from head to toe

or I want to have black owned brand or women brands. So I definitely have like a

directory of different brands and maybe, you know, the last one you guys would definitely

fill in the handbag one since people are usually writing stuff that is just very

general and broad. So I wanted to dive in and definitely close out the month of February

by doing another list like I promised in the other video. I wasn't sure if I was going to go to

jewelry or should I do something else and this one definitely probably resonate because a lot

of my clients, they go out and they like to wear dresses. So I wanted to cater to that. So maybe

next month we'll do women's own jewelry. You guys let me know down below. So this is your first time

stop by. Hey, yall, I'm Mikara Reid, personal style consultant at MIIEN consultancy and we're going to

get into black owned brands. You should try for your next going out dress according to stylist

which is me. I'm going to give you six fashion brands who are black owned to add to your list.

Now I want to make sure that we are all on the same page because everyone has their own

definition of going out dresses and I want to paint the picture. I want us all to be on

on a the same page or same understanding before we dive into the list. That's definitely what I

do with my clientele. So I want I want this to, you know, just spread this out to my community

online. So what is the going out dress? So when I say a going out dress, this is a stylish, you

know, often eye catching dress one for social events like formal parties, upscale dinners, you

night out on like, you know, those fancy nights out or special occasions. It's typically more

glamorous, higher quality fabric. Yes, I want to emphasize higher quality fabric because you probably

think, you know, the Instagram people, the Instagram influencers, they're going to Temu or, you know,

sheen and no, that's poor low quality fabric in after two or maybe one wash that fabric is

out of the window. And also, I want to point out this is more so you driven and not trend driven

fashion when I mean by this is because with my consultancy practices, we focus more when what's

going on around you, your lifestyle, what type of things that you go to as far as, you know,

your everyday fashion where versus what is the latest trend. So the list is definitely going to

be more of the independent, maybe with a couple of familiar faces, but more of the independent and

defecators to a certain type of person. Of course, I'm going to share my thoughts and comments

so the style can range from, you know, just an elegant dress to a fitting, you know, body

con type of dress or just a mid, you know, flowy type of slip dress. It all depends on the vibe of

the event and also personal preference and lifestyle. So I hope you guys understood the assignment.

So let's, let's get into my first list. So my first one, hey, hey,

Bishme, Bishme Cromati is my first one. I remember him back in Baltimore days, I did go to

undergrad in Baltimore, but I actually met him when he was, I don't even want to say what he used

to do. It's not bad, but it's fashion related, but how he just started out his fashion journey,

but he is now based in Los Angeles. So I'm going to suggest this amazing dress, the bishmay

chromati hybrid hoodie dress with a split. Now, I know if you're probably looking at it like the flat

leg with no body and it looks like, hmm, this is peculiar. I would suggest this for like my personal

brand girl who's way more flexible with their wear, concentrators, broadcasters, streamers,

you know, someone who, you know, who just really appreciate streetwear emerges it with elegance.

So you definitely see with the woman with the one you can kind of just see how it looks

on her. I love this. I actually, what is this? And the, the podcast or she really loved how this

really popped. We definitely did a lot of color blogging. So let's get into the description of

this dress. The bishmay chromati hybrid hoodie dress is a fun take on a familiar streetwear

item. So like I said, it is bridging streetwear with elegance. As you can see, it has the elements

of like a hoodie, but if you look closely around her sleeves, he did, you know, add in some elements

of, you know, some extra flair around it with pleated satin details and shoulder padding. Like

I just mentioned, I didn't even read this before here. This item is one to stand out,

wear it as a dress or pair it with pair with bottoms and wear it as a top. It doesn't matter if

you decide to dress to dress this garment up or down, there is no wrong way to wear. So that is

why I definitely suggested this one. It's definitely multifaceted. I love the color. It is amazing.

It just feels amazing to stand as well as the cotton. It just looks incredible. I hope you guys

definitely enjoy it. It looks like it's sold out, but when if it does come back, you definitely

guys should suggest this. It's definitely well put together. All right, let's go on to the next one.

So my next one, I saw this definitely one Claire. Claire is the CEO and editor of Fashion Bomb Daily,

Sally and I hope I'm not going to bush, but this, um, this designer's name, but oh yeah,

oh yeah, when she has this incredible black leather two-lay dress. And baby, if you are one of the

girls who just doesn't like to wear bold colors or in color blocking, it's okay. We, they're still

dresses out there, but you still want to make a statement like a dramatic statement like,

oh, who was that girl? This dress is it. Let me tell you, when I saw this dress on Claire in person,

she was actually going to a New York fashion week event fashion show. So that's why I was able to

kind of see this live and in color. This dress is definitely, you know, it, as you can see in the

picture, she's not, she doesn't have much jewelry. So that's what I was saying. If you are someone

who doesn't like to wear color, you kind of like to keep it very minimalistic, but you still want to

have that punch that when you walk in the door, you want the heads to turn this, this dress is it.

So here is the description about the dress statement dress at its finest. We just love the elegant,

elegantly body-con leather dress for this season. Oh, and it's leather too. That's a, that's a

win-win. That's why I say it in the beginning. High quality fabric, okay. It's crafted from a vegan

leather in organza fabric. The leather dress is simply stunning with a snug fit that is defined by

extra ordinary draped organza to contour the physique for a sexy vibe. It definitely does give

a sexy vibe. Side note, it has a zip up in the back for easy on. It is fully lines for a smooth

and seam fresh finish. This dress is designed to complement and accentuate the curves and that it's

a, I give this dress a 1010. And if you ladies definitely want to take a consideration, um,

distress, I definitely would suggest it. So for my girls who just doesn't like, who loves fashion,

who likes fashion, you can zablin it depending on your lifestyle, but you don't want to have color,

this dress is it. I'm definitely, you know, just kind of give me what heads up right now.

All right, so my next one. Now for my girls who are not so dramatic and you want to own a slip

dress, this is the perfect slip dress that is black on and this is the Neat Thomas

Malena dress in black. This dress feels so delightful, so delightful. I, I mean, I don't know

what else to say. I, we, um, me and my client ordered this and I'm saying we because, you know, I

need to get pre-approval of, you know, what she wants to move forward. That's just how I operate

with my practices and stuff like that. So we ordered this and I take a look to examine just to

make sure I don't want any surprises while I open it for the first time in front of her. So I open

it first because it comes to my office first. So it just felt so luxurious and salt and boy oh boy,

does it grace your body so well. My client is a pear shape, so she has hips, but she really was

filling herself and I'm like, well, keep, keep filling yourself in the mirror. Go right ahead.

It just felt, it just feels amazing and she just, I know she mentioned that she never felt so like

seminets and soft. It, it was money well spent. I know this is a more, you know, this, this price

is more upscale, but it's well, it's worth it. The none of these brands are paying me. None of these

brands are am I affiliated with? So I'm just telling you based off of experience, but let's read

the description for this dress. So the Malena silk slip dress is undeniably romantic,

making it the perfect choice for events such as weddings and parties. May from silk that gently

skims your figure. Yes, that it does. I know it has ruffled silk chiffon adorn at the hem.

The split reveals a flash of leg as you walk. I think this is like the epitome of

what every woman should own in their closet, a slip, a slip dress that really just makes you feel

like a woman like take the take the power suits off, take all of the gaudy stuff on and put this

simple dress. It really just ignites every woman's beauty and softness. So you guys let me know

down below if you are feeling this. Have a look. It definitely feels just like the description

has mentioned. So let's go on to the next one now. This is for someone who is definitely more

on a little bit on the risqué side because this brands this designer Laquansmith. It definitely

exudes sex appeal. So this might be a bit too much for the woman who is conservative or doesn't show

a lot. So this may not be the dress for you, but this designer Laquansmith, this dress right here,

the long sleeve suede keyhole gown. He is notable for just really showing a woman's sex appeal

with some risqué type of cuts. So again, this might be a little bit too much, but it really looks

good. It's been a couple of celebrities who has worn this dress and it really, I'm going to have to

say if you have curves, it really looks amazing. When I say curves, I mean just a woman who is like

that has breasts, hips or a little bit of butt, like it really fills in the dress very, very well.

So here's the description of this dress, crafted for crafted from a soft suede in a body

console, this style is detailed with a darling keyhole bodice cut out and twisted accent at the neck

in waist. So as I mentioned before, it looks really, really good when you have someone that has

body and kind of fill it out. And as you can see with the model, she is small. She doesn't have

much body to fill in. So this is how it looks, but if you see it on Fantasia or someone else that

has more bodies to fill in, you see the difference between it. And like I said, with this brand,

it is definitely the perfect blend of sex appeal and elegance. I like it. Something I would wear.

But to each of them, it just all depends on personal preference. That's why I included it in the

beginning. It just all depends on when, you know, who you are as a woman, what's your surrounding,

where you wearing it to, and XYZ. So we're going to go to our next one. This next dress,

I'm going to call it the timeless beauty. I mean, you can look at her. She is very, very gorgeous.

I think any and every woman can definitely wear this type of dress. This color is absolutely gorgeous.

I hope I do not put you this name, but it is Ibiola. I'm just going to say the last name. Oh,

I'm definitely not going to try to put you that. But it is the nut cracker dress. Let me tell you

I saw something. This little timeless beauty, it just reminds me of like a beautiful type of flower.

I wonder if she was, um, yeah, if she was like inspired by just a flower or something. I don't know,

it just looks really, really beautiful and romantic. So let's get into the description of this.

Sailored from a liquid organ, the fabric with a flattering silhouette and detailing at the top

of the dress, pair with a clutch or a strappy heels for an elegant occasion wear. So I have not

had a chance to actually, you know, wear this, but I have had, I found this because I was putting

together some suggestions for my clients for Valentine's Day and I stumbled across this brand.

So I honestly have not, I have not been able to kind of just steal and kind of share

more of a story. But when I was searching through, she had two other colors. Again, like I said,

I was putting a list together for my client. And she, the two options that she has was this

like this cranberry red type of color. And then the other one is a soft pink, soft pink is not

really her type of color. But you know, I wanted to pin this brand because you just never know.

Again, I create lists from brands regardless if they're independent or big. I just wanted to

keep this in. Luckily, you know, I'm able to kind of just use this brand and share with you guys

on some amazing black on women brands for going out dresses. So this is beautiful. You guys,

let me know if you would wear any of these. She does have other colors as it states on her website,

but I, yeah, this cranberry red was one of the options that I put in a suggestion for my client

to kind of just look and see what she wanted to go move and forward with since she was going

somewhere elegant with her husband. And yeah, we want to prepare. All right. And so that was number five.

So let's go on to our last one. I wanted to, I couldn't just do five. Five is so traditional. And

I mean, we had to keep kind of be a little, little, little off off beats because that's just what

we saw over here. So my last one is for the girlies who, who won a little edge,

who, how should I say this? They won a nice edge, but they don't want to be too edgy there. They,

they want to still have a sense of sex appeal. So I'm going to say an edge, a fashion edge,

but still keep a sex appeal to them. So the next and last one will be women's wear

in the stress by dough dress. I found this brand via Twitter, crazy enough. And when they,

when, yeah, when I saw tweets of the girl, you know, recording, I'm not sure if it's a model or

someone actually wearing it, but I was like, oh, this dress is cute and I kind of painted it and

added it to my list. And one of my clients, I think she was going somewhere or going out the

country with her girls or her boyfriend, I don't remember. I have so many clients, but this was

one of the dresses that I put in the packet for suggestions. And she definitely ordered it and

definitely loves the fits of the dress. Okay. She loved the fit of the dress. She got so many

compliments. And it just went really, it looks even more amazing on her complexion because

in the summertime, she is like this perfect golden brown type of skin complexion. And then her

eyes are like hazel. It's, it looks incredible on her. So let's get into the description of

Sino, this is why I said a fashion edge, but still maintaining your sex appeal. Featuring a

tie neck peekaboo neckline detailing asymmetrical waterfall hem and complete with an interwoven

I know she wore like a yellow, a yellow shoe. It wasn't like sunshine yellow. It was like a

mustard type of yellow with this dress. But I, I just really, yeah, I don't know. This dress,

it just gives me, I want to be simple, not simple, but I just want to be fashion forward. But still

just maintain my, my, my sexiness. Doesn't it give you guys a sense? Oh, it does. So that is my
